About Cornelius

Cornelius C. (Neil) Bond, with a Princeton B.S. in Electrical Engineering, joined T. Rowe Price in 1960 as a technology analyst. The legendary Rowe Price invited Bond to join the Investment Committee of the New Horizons Fund in 1961, allowing Bond to work closely with the “Sage of Baltimore” over the next ten years during which time the New Horizons Fund became the country's best performing mutual fund. Bond later became President and Manager of the Growth Stock Fund, which was then the firm’s largest mutual fund, with assets of more than $ 1 billion. He joined the Board of Directors of T. Rowe Price Associates in 1978.

Neil’s career as a fund manager and officer of T. Rowe Price gave him a deep appreciation of the investment genius of Mr. Price, and the way he built the firm's strong foundation, allowing it to later become a global investment powerhouse. At the heart of his new book is the story and explanation of Rowe Price’s Famous Growth Stock Philosophy, which has been the major factor in the firm’s outstanding long term performance.

In 1982, Bond left T. Rowe Price to join the three original General Partners of New Enterprise Associates, a technology and healthcare venture capital company, which today is one of the largest in the industry.

Neil lives with his wife Ann and his standard poodle, Price, in San Francisco.
